THE SCL STARTING BLOCKS CHALLENGE!

Across the year, the staff at Swale Community Leisure will be taking part in a number of challenges as part of their Starting Blocks Challenge.

The SCL Community Team has worked with The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust since 2015, helping hundreds of young people build resilience and help Get them On Track to personal success.

This challenge is a great opportunity to experience challenges similar to the young people that have been supported on our programmes, while raising essential funds for future projects.

CEO, Dave is starting the challenge by Cycling from Brighton to Minster (Thanet), via Dover, following the route of the 2012 Olympia Torch Relay.

Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates from the challenges!

"My starting block was in the build up to the London 2012 Olympics and helping bring an overnight stop for the Torch Relay to Dover. This was the culmination of several years work and marked a particularly poignant year for me. My cycling challenge will follow the route of London 2012 Olympic Torch relay, allowing me to reflect on what the experience meant to me, and how it set me off on my current life and career path."

SCL CEO, Dave

The Starting Blocks Challenge is in aid of the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, who SCL have worked in partnership with for over 8 years.
